First, this is a blog concerning cold press in Minneapolis, and wherever else I happen to visit and have some. I have experienced a considerable amount of cold press, though I do not remember all of it. That's a lot of the reason I'm writing this. My standard has always been Audubon Coffee on 29th and Johnson in NE Minneapolis. It's always delicious and perfect. I'm still waiting for anything as good as it.
The chains just can't do it right, as far as I can tell. Caribou just double brews and chills their coffee, I believe. It's terrible. It's overly acidic and makes me want to vomit, and this is not an exaggeration. I've had to throw it out after just a few sips. Starbucks does it better than Caribou does, but not enough for me to consider drinking it regularly.
The Beat in Uptown has delicious cold press. It is better than average from what I can tell.
This is all I have to report thus far. I will be tasting and updating as often as I can.
